1. About Sorelle Studios
Sorelle Studios is an Australian-based online retailer specialising in Korean beauty technology devices and Korean skincare, operated from Naarm ~ Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated. Sorelle Studios reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice. Your continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
2. Product Information, Badges & Skincare Advice
2.1 General Information Only
All product descriptions, routines, ingredient information, glossary entries, collection descriptions, and recommendations on the Sorelle Studios website, social media channels, and communications are provided for general information purposes only. They are not medical advice and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or skin condition. If you have a medical or skin condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are unsure whether a product is right for you, please consult your doctor, dermatologist, or other qualified healthcare professional before use.
2.2 Pregnancy Friendly Badge
Products marked “Bump~Friendly*” are formulated without retinoids (including retinol and retinal), salicylic acid (BHA), bakuchiol, tranexamic acid and kojic acid, the ingredients most commonly advised against during pregnancy. This badge is based on a review of each product’s published ingredient list only. It doesn’t mean the product has been tested on, or approved for use by, pregnant or breastfeeding people. Always check with your doctor or midwife before using any new skincare product while pregnant or breastfeeding.
2.3 Clinically Tested Badge
Products marked “Clinically Tested” have been tested by, or on behalf of, the brand or manufacturer. Testing may include clinical efficacy studies, dermatological tests, skin irritation tests, sensitive-skin tests or non-comedogenic tests. The type of testing varies from product to product.
All test results, percentages and claims shown on our website are as reported by the brand. They reflect the specific conditions of each test, including the number of participants, their skin types, the testing period and the method of measurement. Sorelle Studios has not independently conducted or verified these tests.
A “Clinically Tested” badge doesn’t guarantee that a product will suit every skin type or produce the same results for everyone. Individual results may vary. Testing for irritation or skin compatibility doesn’t mean a product will never cause a reaction. Always read the full ingredient list and perform a patch test before first use, particularly if you have sensitive skin or allergies.
Brands may update their formulas or testing over time. We review our badges based on the information available to us at the time of listing and will update them where we become aware of changes.
2.4 Flare Safe Badge
Products marked “Flare Safe” have been selected based on their formulation profile ~ fragrance-free, active-free, and formulated without common known irritants ~ as suitable for use during a skin flare associated with conditions including but not limited to lupus, MCAS, eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea. This badge is based on a review of published ingredient lists only and does not constitute medical advice. Always patch test before use and consult your treating specialist before introducing any new product during an active flare.
2.5 Acne Safe Badge
Products marked “Acne Safe” are non-comedogenic and formulated without ingredients commonly known to clog pores or aggravate acne-prone skin. This is based on a review of published ingredient lists only and does not guarantee the product will not cause a reaction in all individuals. Patch test before use.
3. Imported Products & Sunscreens
Our Korean skincare is imported directly from Seoul, Korea. Sunscreen products stocked by Sorelle Studios have not been tested, assessed, or listed by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). SPF and PA ratings are as tested and labelled by the manufacturer under Korean and international standards.
Sunscreen is only one part of sun protection. We recommend wearing protective clothing, a hat and sunglasses, seeking shade during peak UV hours, and reapplying sunscreen regularly ~ particularly after swimming, sweating, or towelling off. For those managing photosensitive conditions, please consult your specialist regarding appropriate sun protection for your specific circumstances.
4. Ingredients & Formulation Changes
We make every effort to keep product and ingredient information accurate and up to date. However, manufacturers may update their formulas, packaging, or ingredient lists without notice to us. Please always refer to the ingredient list on the product packaging you receive ~ particularly if you have known allergies, sensitivities, or are managing a skin condition. Product badges are reviewed and updated based on the information available to us at the time of listing.
5. Allergies, Sensitivities & Patch Testing
Some products contain fragrance, essential oils, exfoliating acids, nut-derived oils, or other ingredients that may cause a reaction in sensitive individuals. We strongly recommend performing a patch test on a small area of skin ~ such as the inner arm ~ 24 to 48 hours before first use of any new product. Discontinue use immediately if irritation, redness, swelling, or discomfort occurs, and seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen.
Sorelle Studios accepts no liability for adverse reactions resulting from failure to patch test or to read ingredient lists prior to use.
6. Skincare Advice & Community Content
The skincare information, glossary entries, ingredient guides, routine suggestions, and personal experiences shared on the Sorelle Studios website and social media channels reflect the opinions and experiences of the Sorelle Studios team only. We are not dermatologists, doctors, immunologists, rheumatologists, or licensed estheticians. Content shared about specific conditions ~ including but not limited to lupus, MCAS, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and acne ~ is based on our own personal experience with those conditions and general publicly available information. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always seek the advice of your doctor, dermatologist, or other qualified healthcare professional with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or skincare concern.
7. Results May Vary
Everyone’s skin is different. Results ~ including those described in our product descriptions, collection copy, reviews, testimonials, before-and-after references, and tried-and-tested recommendations ~ are not guaranteed and will vary from person to person based on skin type, condition, consistency of use, and a range of individual factors.
8. Pricing & Availability
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are subject to change without notice. Sorelle Studios reserves the right to correct pricing errors and to limit quantities. Product availability is subject to stock levels and supplier availability. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse orders at our discretion.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Sorelle Studios website ~ including but not limited to copy, photography, product descriptions, collection names, the Sorelle Studios brand name, logo, and The Seoul Edit ~ is the intellectual property of Sorelle Studios and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sorelle Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of our website, products, or information provided. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the product in question.
11. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
12. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
